Pelvic power and synergy, in motion, and at rest

5 quick facts for your homeostasis, and a masterclass for more discovery:

An amazing network of systems works to maintain your health without you knowing it. This network is your abdominal-pelvic neuro-myo-fascial and visceral network. The nerves, muscles, connective tissue, and your organs (viscera) automatically communicate with each other, your gut biome, and your brain, the central command center.

Facts:

1. Your brain and its nervous system are the “boss”, letting your GI tract know it is ok, for example, to rest and digest, or for the bladder to wait, relax, and store.

2. Bladder storage and emptying are automatic and pain-free for most of the population, but troubles often develop with aging, infections, childbirth, andropause, and menopause.

3. Digestion power requires not only good food, but the piston of your diaphragm pumping up and down, and your pelvic floor muscles working in synchrony. This is abdominal-diaphragm pelvic synergy.

4. Bladder leaks can occur from pelvic floor muscle tightness or weakness.

5. When you are at rest, and optimally hydrated, your bladder should be able to hold through the night, or only need one emptying, unless other health factors are causing bladder aggravation.

Knowing these facts may cause you to wonder about your health, digestive power, bladder functions, and the aspect of synergy between the diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles.

It is likely no surprise that new knowledge in the last few decades has clarified the importance of our gut biome, our attitude and moods, and our health. Pelvic power for fitness, sexual health, as well as “perfect” symptom -free bladder and bowel function are not to be taken for granted. The state of our nervous system, from agitation to calm, has been studied in relation to the health of our gut biome and pelvic health challenges such as bladder leaks, bladder pain, constipation, and loose stools. In an optimally balanced body and mind, there is homeostasis, with your neuro-myofascial and visceral systems working in harmony for your health.

Integrative holistic health care considers your unique profile and what may be out of balance, require support, and self-care. Gain embodiment and interoception for your life and nurture your homeostasis.
